Default distributor ?????

Hey guys, am about to change my timing cover this weekend(oil leak) my question is, can i remove my distributor without a problem and just have piston 1 up to install back? Thanks guys.

Depending on the year of your car you just have to align the dowel pin back up with the correct spot on the back of the opti.

doesnt matter where the motor is........just line the pin up with the square hole in the clover leaf on the dizzy where it came apart and your done........theres no adjustment in these ignitions theyy are preset at 1*BTDC and they dont move..........your good

It doesn't matter what position the engine is in. The opti regardless of fhe year fgoes on only one way. 93-94 has a keyed spline drive. 95-97 has a slot for the dowel pin that's in the cam. Very easy to do and see once you get in there and do it
