Yes but nothing trick or expensive. I wouldn't run a cheap *** beehive like the 918s with any cam, just due to their track record. But that's just me

Whitephoenix you just threw in a monkey wrench. I was thinking going PA w/ spray. I could do a 3600 and small 100 shot and pass my goals or even finding a used powerdyne but I heard those things have some problems and I couldnt find anybody that rebuilds them with better internal belts. So those thoughts went to the wind
I was running uncle Mickey's et streets radials. I need to pick up a cheap pair salad shooters or something in 16in's or even better 15's . I was pulling 1.7x's with 275/40/17's mounted on my ss 10 spokes.
all my runs were all at E-town

I'm thinking you should do the 3600 stall and a nitrous kit with your 2k. You won't be dissapointed

Badazz 97 TA, those are some nice gains. I dont think Ill will get those kind of numbers seeing how I already have the LT4 hotcam valve springs, retainers and locks - ARP 7/16 studs - Trick Flow guideplates - Wysco stainless 1.6 ratio 7/16 stud mount rockers and chromoly pushrods. I know the Hot cam will be a perfect addition. I think Im going with the hot cam. 2800 stall I have already will be fine for awhile till I save up some more car play money. hmm I wonder if I can get a custom grind cam that will work with my springs.

LOL. you will see those numbers if not better. Springs, retainers, locks, pushrods, guidplates and studs dont add horsepower. Your gonna see a significant gain by adding a cam whatever it may be. Those are just the supporting parts for the cam itself.

if you decide to go with another cam, switch the LT4 springs for someting else. Its a must

Badazz what else did you do at that time? I only said that because the stock springs were alittle tires when they were replaced at 85k mi's. Did you do long tubes, were you stock springs wasted, tune, new opti etc at the time of the cam swap. You had some real nice gains. Im just trying to go with low average gains here. I already trap 107ish depending on weather. I just dont see traping 114. Dont get me wrong Id love that. Ill be happy with anything above a 110 trap speed =). Its nice to hear from somebody thats been having great luck and there happy with the hot cam for 3yrs.

I already had longtubes and a magnaflow catback at the time before the cam. Added the hotcam with the lt4 springs and rockers and a mail order tune. That was it. Stock trans and converter. Car had 60,000 miles on it. Trapped 106 mph coming from 99mph before. Idk. Not the best times or mph for a cammed LT1 but results are results. I'm just going off what my car did before and after, not what every internet expert has done or said it should do.

Well that is some great results for sure. There is always variables but like you said results are results. I should see atleast 30rwhp so that's a 3mph increase at the track. I can live with that. Hows the sound of the hot cam on your set up. I've listened to some sound clips on that cam and they go from a mild lope to a mild chop if that makes sense, guess its in the tune and exhaust setup.

Custom cam $300, patriot 8401-BSBC springs $245, both through LE. Sounds like you have the other supporting mods. Then you can step up the stall at a later date.
