Default 97 Formula

I have recently bought a 97 Formula Firebird. The car runs strong. I had 2 rocker arms actually break over the valve spring. Does anyone know what could cause this. I have always owned fords and I have never seen this. Im on a budget and would like to know a good cheap route to fix the problem. Also Im having trouble finding the OEM rocker Arms. Id appreciate some input.

There's got to be a local guy near you that might give you some stock rockers. I held onto mine for a few months after the swap.

As far as the break, it could be from the previous owner doing to modifications and not divulging.

Stock rockers breaking???? Does this not strike anyone else as unheard of and a bigger problem than just a rocker problem ??

Yeah It struck me as very odd. Bought the long block from jegs. The motor has about 12000 miles on it.. I dont know if the rocker arms could have over tightened or to loose if that would have caused it. Im right by houston!
