Hi temp

I heard LT1's have a bad habbit of the temp getting high when setting in traffic cause I'm does it too I changes out both my fans/waterpump/thermostat and it still does it does n e body have any answers to y

Its not becuase anyhting is wrong, its just how it is, its normal. How hot is yours getting when sitting?

Well I put a 160 slp thermo and it gets bout 210 but when I start driving again it goes back down and also my a/c went out, but when it was working it would not get hot so I talked to a guy at a performance place where I got my gears put in and he said it's normal on all LT1's

He is right. That temperature is completely normal.

I always have my LT1s tuned to activate the fans sooner, but there are other ways to do this as well, like an SLP fan switch kit. That kit is plug and play. Im sure when the ac went out you were not use to the engine getting a little hotter than normal since the fans are no not on all the time now.
