Default tuning help

ok i am going to put the cc 503 camand i had a valve job and i am porting my heads and intake and i need to know what kind of tune i should get ive heard the mail ordered tunes are **** ?

Here's what's funny about mail tunes. And I've seen it from two different companies.

They change your timing tables. Ever so slightly.
They change your WOT commanded fueling. Kinda and only sometimes.
They alter your max KR, knock attack and recovery rates.
They can uncheck boxes like crazy good.
And they can definitely change a couple numbers so your tires and rearend says the right MPH.

That about sums up all the work they do for you from their basic tune.
If you have the funds, getting them to work with you over data logging I'm sure is great. But a base mail tune is absolutely worthless IMO. You can ask around on a couple boards and get yourself a mail tune quality tune by yourself for free or the price of a PCM and knock sensor.

True mail tunes are trash. Do a datalogging email tune. Or do it yourself.

Otherwise, plug in your stock PCM and notice how it runs. Cause a mail tune probably won't make it better. Only way to do that is tune it yourself.
