Default Check engine light

I have a 93 TA and when i turn the key on the check enhine light comes on, so i know it works...but the car has never tripped the light ever, even when the opti crashed. I don't even have a rev limiter that i have ever felt. And i have taken it to 6400 rpm. I had it tuned by pcmforless and i did not have it turned off, it was tuners choice. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The problem is the light does not come on if there is a real problem, i have to listen for the fans to come on for a code. And the rev limiter does not work either. Is this some kind of a glitch for the '93', i know they are a little different.

Not all codes set the SES light. You can flash the codes if you want.

The codes dont bother me, i have a mac taskmaster i can see the data stream when i need to. Just a question of it not working, and the rev limiter is what i really want to work but i will just add a 6al. Thanks

You're going about this the wrong way unfortunately. Aftermarket ignitions are useless and often overcomplicate things. Why don't you delve into the PCM and see why your rev limiter isn't working? Ask your tuner to look at the program they wrote for it. They're only an email away.
