24x coil selection
I have the EFI connection coil brackets, works great. If I wanted to get super fancy, put in the effort and make custom plug wires, I think mounting them under the cowl would look pretty sharp.
Stock LS1 wires will not fit.
Quick question and i know it doesn't have anything to do with coils but i didn't want to clutter up the forum with random questions. Ok iv'e put a hurting on the wallet with putting together the 24x stuff so my question is will i be ok with a mail order tune until i have the coin for a dyno tune(prolly about 4-6 months)? And if so who would you guys suggest?

Verdad Gallardo You should be okay with a Mail order tune with bolt ons. I'd just send it over to Speed Inc. They've got some experience with the 24x kit now.

Yep, the truck coils are the most powerful. Here are some guidelines:
-Stay away from LS1/6 coils. They work but are the weakest of the bunch.
-While any LS2/3/4/7 LQ4/9 etc coil work, the round heat-sinked truck coils are the best.
-LS1/6 coil coils and wiring harnesses have a different pin-out at the coil plugs than all the others.
-Every different style of coil has it's own coil bracket. Don't think any bracket will work with any coil.
-The best spark plug wires to use is the Granatelli Motorsports zero ohm wires.
-The round heat-sinked coils have special dwell abilities that allow you to really take advantage of their output and need to be tuned appropriately.

Alright here are some more pictures of the poor mans route. Remember now, I'm not a show car, I really couldn't care less how things look under the hood, so long as it works.
If you want to go this route you could of course cut the rod stock down so its not sticking up, wasn't worth my time I guess.

Really, not a bad setup. Just beware of vibrations and those coils coming loose. Vibration will kill 'em.
This is a really great idea. The only difference I would make to make it look "sexy"
, is to cut the studs down a bit and use the chrome acorn type cover nuts, like these:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-Acorn...-/220672664590
And you could always sand them and paint them, depending on the look you're going for.
