Default Need help!!

Okay car is a 95z28 t56. and bolt ons

the problem
car starts and idles perfect drives normal at first. Then after about 5 minutes of driving it start to act up. When i push the clutch in and hold it or when i take it out of gear the rpms will drop to about 350-400 and almost stall the car (sometimes it will) then the rpms come back up to normal and it's fine. it does this randomly throughout my drive to and from work.

I changed the Idle Air Control valve and it didn't change anything. Also though it might be the Mass Airflow Sensor but it taped on it to see if the rpms would change and it was fine. there are no vacuum leaks either.

Any ideas?

Also the check engine light is NOT on.

How can i check fuel pressure when it happens?

it's when i'm driving the car. and it seems to do it more often after i get off the freeway or after cruising for an extended period of time.

Check for a Vac leak somewhere, that's where I would start with the issue you are having. NOT A ICM. They either work or don't.

Have the pressure gauge under the windsheild wiper so you can see it safely whiles drving and see where it goes.

Okay no vacuum leaks.

What should the fuel pressure be?

Nobody can scan it. I have took it to 3 different places and there scanner wont connect.

From what i have gathered its because the 95's had odb 1.5. its odb1 with an odb2 connector.

My 95 won't hook to a scanner either. I think you have to use a small jumper wire or the code key an watch the light ses light flash to get the codes.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

The jumper wont work on a 94 or 95 either. It only activates the low speed fan circuit when you jump. It doesnt flash the SES light.

Okay i took the egr valve off and it was DIRTY. I cleaned it and put it back on and took it out and it didnt change anything.

Someone els mentioned that the egr solenoid could be bad. Does this sound like it could be?

also my check engine light will come on from time to time and when it does the car will idle a 500rpm. And it idles really rough.

Any more ideas?

SCAN IT! Point you right in the direction you need to go. Anything else is just a guess and could end up wasting more time. Get it scanned, check that system and go from there.

Okay guys i think my maf is bad. I tested it with a voltmeter and at idle it's at 4.4volts and when i open the throttle the volts go down. And from what i read there supposed to go up not down.

But i unplugged it and it and dove it around and it was still doing the same thing.

Any ideas?
