Default motor value

what would a fully built 388 lt1 (just the motor), with less than 500 miles on it be worth? i dont know all the exacts of the motor, but i know it ran a 7.4x on motor in a full weight ta. i know the heads have been worked on quite a bit, has a custom ground cam, all forged internals, and was built to hold a 300 shot. has air gap intake, 42 lb injectors. its in a buddy of mines car and hes trying to decide what to do.

what internals? who is the cam from? internals can make a big difference in the price. also who built it? is there any paperwork with it?

Clarify...this could mean Billy Bob took a dremel tool to them or could be Ai 200cc heads....big difference in HP and price. Has it been dynoed?

So many variables, we'd need the entire build sheet to give an honest guess. It could be as low as $2k to as high as $6k.

On the low price side it might be all Eagle stuff, with mildly ported stock heads.

On the high price side it might be all Callies stuff with Diamond pistons and AFR heads, etc, etc.

I would ask more about the performance and drivetrain.

If it did 7.4 at 115mph with appropriate gear and stall that is not so great seeing as my turd has gone 7.3, no stroker and more weight.

If it did 7.4 at 95+mph then it was probably just a bad launch but is making power. Or if it has nitrous gears and stall it wouldn't launch great NA.

If it only ever went to the track midday in July in TX then 7.4 could be a good time too.

Lots more details needed.
