after header intalation????

Default after header intalation????

resently just bought an 06 SAP pontiac GTO, recently put some kooks headers, come to find out after driving it a while the engine light comes on, so i get it checked at the local AUTOZONE and throwing the MAF sensor code??? any reason why?? and it runs HORIBLY!!

i know i need a tune n all for the upgrades but im sure it doesent effect to throw codes??

Even so, some problems can be common, car to car. On that note, I'd be looking to make sure that you didn't pinch any wires, or get something too close to a header tube, that it melted through, like an 02 sensor wire. Obviously, the MAF is pretty far from the exhaust system, so you shouldn't have created any problems in the intake tract, but wiring harnesses run all over the engine compartment.

Did you have to remove the air intake tract, and/or the MAF to do the install? If so, did you remember to hook it back up?

yeah i had removed it for intalation but doin that was just the typical start of workin on the car... BUT i mounted it back on different(slightly)... lol imma check it all over n see... thnx
