Permanent Tranny Mount

So now you have a harder poly trans mount trying to resist the movement of the engine/driveline, and not the engine mounts, because the poly is stiffer then the rubber, and snap. I bet him changing his mounts will fix the issue.
I swapped the engine mounts a few years ago because the bolts were accessible when I was changing front springs.
Yes I have a Caprice so it is a bit different setup, BUT imagine the load those mounts endure when over 2 tons pulls a 1.5 60ft.
I have this car because I want a big comfortable car, as such it will get as little poly as practical.
