- bought a used complete set up last January minus plug wires
- having some break up issues around 5500 rpm that tuning did not change
- got Taylor wires
- did the tear down
found loose opti bearing = wobble
everything else looked good
- installed good opti with no rotor
- installed LTCC components
Bob Bailey emailed right away with clear direction

made new plug wires
turned key - bingo!
topped off fluids, warm up - no leaks
car feels crisp and runs a bit smoother
no sign of breaking up at all
conclusion:
the coil wire and / or a good opti probably would have solved my problem
I have nice easy coil access and plug wires
I have no cap and rotor failures in my future
LTCC is a good idea if you rather not chance good opti / bad opti
and I dare say performs as well or better than the best opti ever could
