Default need stall advice..

Im currently running a performabuilt 3800 stall. Ive been 1.53 60ft na and 1.47 on 75 shot. I have 3.70 gears with 28 in tire. Should i have my convertor restalled to a 4400 or so? Its a hci 355 and plan to spray 200 shot also. Im wanting to run 10s na and 9s on spray. Thanks for any advice.

To run 9's you'll need to hit around 135mph. Keep that in mind for your gearing/tire size purposes. A 7.23 in the 1/8th is about an 11.25-11.30 so you aren't far off right now. I think that 4400rpm stall will be the ticket for you. What rpm do you shift at right now? You may be able to go with a set of 4.10's and your 28" tire and still hit 135mph if you take your motor to 6900-7000rpm right now. If your motor peaks at 61-6200 rpm and you shift at 6500 you won't be able to run as aggresive of a gear to get the same mph.

I will be shifting at 6800. The bottem end will handle will 7k plus. I was thinking 4400 be perfect myself. Do you think i can get 10s na. The heads were out the box when i ran the 7.23. CAm was smaller also.

The 4400 will help a lot. Once you get ripping into the 11's the tenths of improvement are a lot harder to come by. Your raceweight can come down a lot. Any way to get some weight out of it? As for the rpm, I just needed to know where the motor peaks at.

Yea still got lot weight to take out. Front bumper support, abs delete, radio, speakers, carpet backing, and race seats. Havent doone any cutting yet either. The motor is not quit done yet. Its gona have a 236/244 hr cam. Im thinkin peak should be around 6600 or so.
