As far as oil consumption, on 5w30 synthetic (it was on sale) I was topping it off once a week, it seemed to burn more or less a quart on 35 miles a day. I had previously been running 10w40 with results not being much better.

I've been looking around and apparently I missed the boat on the OBD-1 dyno tuning for the LT1, if shops/tuners in my area ever did them, they don't anymore, and apparently they take longer to tune correctly so it costs a bit more.
well as for WOT knock what is the car running for high rpm spark advance? also whats the AFR it should be in the 12.6-12.9 area for safe power......i couldnt open your log files

At near WOT tps at 96% my spark advance is 27-29* at around 3100 rpms, later at 60% tps and 4100 rpm the advance is 31* with about 5-6* of retard. I don't think datamaster gives A/F ratios that I can see, however I can give you some from when it was dynoed when the motor was first built before the tune. To be honest I'm not sure which figure you want as far as what rpm, so I'll give you a few. It starts at 1958 rpm with A/F being 12.7. It gets to 13.2 at 2906 rpm. Then it fluctuates in the high 12's and 11's starting at 3000 rpm up to 5622 rpm where the A/F is 11.1. Is it supposed to have 12.6-12.9 throughout the rpm range?

FAWK. I just got a smog notice, if I fix the oil consumption and change my fouled plugs, but still have the knock and all the spark retard, will the knock affect the smog test?
