Default Wheel Adapters?

I own a 1993 lt1. Just bought a set of 17X9 10-Spoke Camaro SS wheels. Front two set in perfectly. Back two won't. Does anyone know if wheel adapters are needed? your response will be surely appreciated...

The rear hubs are slightly to big for the wheel. Use some sand paper or a grinder and widen the hole in the wheel just a bit.

i think allls you need is 1/4 inch spacers man, pick them up at parts store or chucks trucks for cheap. Downside is you might have to run longer lugs. I did when i put my c6 wheels on..backs took some bfh to fit but they were 19x11 i think

Not trying to be a douche but why go out and spend the money on spacers rather than spending 10 minuets to make them fit.

i might be confused about the above statement. But spacers just go over the lugs then you bolt your wheels on..in my case i didnt feel comfortable running 3/8 spacers with stock lugs but i could have.....1/4 spacers run 20 bucks a pair...slide them on bolt the wheels up and there you go...your wheel is spaced out more and you should be good to go. if they dont work return them and spend more money on wheel adapters.

It's not that the wheels don't fit in the wheel well cause they're wide it's that the center hub on the earlier 4th gens is slightly larger than the later 4th gens. I ran into this same problem with some zr1's off a 02 SS. The hub either needs to be lighty sanded/grinded down or the wheel's hub opening made larger ever so slightly.

OP, like said earlier, do some sanding/dremeling on the center hub of the wheel and will fit without issue. Just go little by little.

you just need to grind a little out of the center hub of the rim its the cheaper safer way.

Running this type of spacer is asking for trouble. The center of the wheel fits snugly on the axle for a reason. I know, lots of aftermarket wheels have a large hole in the center, it's not right. Look at any stock wheels and how they mount.

If it's easier you can also sand down the inside of the wheel hubs.

I was under the wrong impression on how they didnt fit....i know that wheels are hub centric(sp lol) for a reason. I thought they were to wide hitting on the inside.

I have the exact same wheels your gonna use. Just use a die grinder and gring out the center of the wheel until they fit. Just make sure you do it as evenly as possible and have the balanced.

Yep, I had to do it to my ZR1s - less than 5min per wheel with a 80 grit foam block
