Default Best emissions legal setup (headers)

I hear quite a lot of bad things about shorties, however they are street legal and LT's ate not. Im not too familiar with mid-tubes, can they be street legal, and how much power can they make on a mild bolt on LT1? Also how do all you guys get away with running long tubes on your cars and passing inspection and emissions?

Those aren't worth your money in performance and frustration.

The only two emissions checks required in my county are gas cap and an OBD scan. All I need to do is get everything tuned out.

Cali has the worst emissions stuff to deal with from all the reading ive been doing. Im not sure if its true or not but i dont think long tubes are even legal to have in Cali. In Ontario, Canada we have visual and sniffer tests on a roller. I have both Jet Hot and Pacesetter Emission style headers on my cars. One has a hotcam only and my other has ported afr heads and a custom grind le cam he designed to pass emissions which is does too. Both have AIR, EGR, and a dual catted 3" y pipe to help keep it legal and pass the sniffer test.

Yup, it's illegal to move the position of the cats at all. On top of that you have to make sure that the aftermarket parts you buy have a CARB sticker. You might be able to sneak it by but that's why I'm getting my car registered in AZ
