Default Hesitation at Low RPMs

I have a 1995 Z28 that I just put a brand new LT1 in. I'm having a bit of an issue. Under 1600RPM at any more than about 20% throttle there is a giant hesitation. Feels like a giant misfire.

Any ideas?

Not yet, but would that be load & low RPM dependent?

Have u checked fuel pressure? Has it been tuned? I had a big hesitation to then i had it tuned, 8 more degrees advance problem solved. It is a well known prob with these cars.

Have u checked fuel pressure? No, I haven't, but wouldn't this affect it more at upper RPM ranges?

Has it been tuned? No, but it is stock with the exception of longtubes, a catback and no AIR

Try checking the egr. It should stumble or die if you push the diaphragm in while in idle indicating a working egr if not it is bad. You mentioned rebuilding the motor its easy to misplace where the spark plug wires go on these cars so I would check this out as well. Ernest

Another thing make sure there is proper ground to the engine block itself I've seen this before several times and it does have great effect on Efi motors. Ernest
