So i have a 1997 z28 6spd stock rear and 3:42's
le 2 heads shaved stock rebuilt short block
228/236 on 110

spent most of the night tweaking the suspension to get it to hook. Ran a buddies set of slicks.(needs a radial)

got it to dead hook last run launching at 4k and bogged it down. So weather permitting ill go out next week. and get some better passes. Ran a 12.4 with a 1.9 sixty LOL here is the slip. deff has a 11.xx in it

My buddy running that cam and a set of hand ported heads is running very similar times with his 60 foot in that area too. He bumped the launch to 5k and dead hooked but the rear let go and took the ds with it. Just bought a used 9" with 3.70s and hoping to see a 11.xx pass next outing.

Should have alot better 60' with a slick. Why do you think it needs a radial? Do you have relocation brackets?

I dont have relo's or trailing arms. It needs both. I figured the speed would like a radial better. But im gonna run that slick until they close the track down. It deff has a 11.xx in it. 4:10 and weight out, will come this winter. Another strong LE set up for all the nay sayers

IMO you should do a chassis mount torque arm before doing those two things. I'd bet you'd notice a world of difference compared to LCA's and brackets.

Radial is going to be much harder to hook up with on a 6 speed. Not a bad mph though. I hit 116.5mph with that cam through an auto and a 9 inch on bias ply's. You have more in it for sure

My setup consits of a Spohn tubular sfc and the track pack style torque was custom made up from scratch and tig welded. Piece of art and works mint despite having to modify the exhaust loop so it doesnt hit or get caught up on steep inclines. Im actually thinking about buying the cross BMR cross brace since mines been cut and welded a few times so it looks nicer.
