Cam and OPDG Questions
Cam and OPDG Questions Hey guys. I am tring to figure out what the hell drive gear is on my cam. I ordered it through Lloyd when he did the heads and I had noticed durring the head gasket replacment earlier this year that the drive gear was looking worn. Of course with the fiasco I had when this engine was built I have no idea if the oil pump drive gear was even changed from what was in the block stock from the factory. The gear in it is brass stock style. The cam was ground by Bullet racing cams the part number on the cam sheet is 500000 It dose not say anything about the type of gear used on it. The last thing I need is grinding the drive gear down and lossing this PITA right now. I need it to last untill I get the other build under way and ready to go. I was planning on pulling the intake and swapping it if I have to with an Everlast gear?? is that right? The tougher oil pump driver gear. Anyone know how to tell? Also where do I get this other gear from?
