Unhappy Unsolved Mystery.. Please Help !!

I have a 1995 LT1 corvette.

The car ran perfect before adding a few mods.
I added an EWP cam rockers and all the sister mods to the cam such as springs and pushrods and an MSD optispark.

The car fired right up after all the mods and idled great for about 10 mins.
It lightly hesistated once and shut off, since then the car wouldnt start again.

I removed the EWP , replaced the old taylor wires with new taylor wires and even replaced the msd cap and rotor with a brand new one even though mine is brand new, but just incase I just wanted to make sure it wasnt that because its been mentioned here they could be bad or cracked.

The odd thing is, when I remove the water pump from the motor, the car fires right up and idles and runs perfect. As soon as I bolt the water pump back on the motor, the car wont start!!

I am at a total loss here, any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance.

What pump is it?

So when the pump is off the engine, meaning not wired up it will stay running and when its installed and wired up it dies...correct?

When its bolted to the motor it will not start, wired or un-wired.

When its unbolted/removed from the motor, its starts and runs and idles normally.

Oh and its a meziere pump.

Fwiw .. It has nothing to do with the pump being bolted to the motor.. You obviously have a short in that area that you are moving that causes the issue. Check wiring

The only thing I can think of is that there are grounds in that area on the driver's side head and possibly when you bolt the pump up you are displacing a broken wire. The ICM ground is there as are some others. Take the WP off, (You should be good at it now), and pull all the black wires in the area and see if any are broken. Also check your ground stud for being tight. You shouldn't be pinching any Opti wires but are you throwing any codes when it won't start?
