Manual to Auto wiring harness
I am changing my car from manual to auto. I have found a Z28 here locally that is the same year as my car (1995) and plan to pick its wiring harness. What I am wondering is can I just cut off the auto trans part and solder it into my harness or do I need to get the whole harness from the engine, ecm, and trace the wires into the fender and remove them from the body? Thanks

I would love to do a 700-R4 swap but I already have 2 real nice 2000 year model 4.3L S-10 trans. I have been told by PCMForless that he can make my 1995 ECM shift and provide a good signal to the speedometer for that trans also.

If you can get the engine harness that is the simplest. I added in the trans plug to my harness when I swapped to auto. You will also need to add in the wiring on the auto shifter for reverse lights, p/n signal to pcm and move the wires from the clutch start switch for p/n starting.
