How much do you think it would cost a reputable engine shop to put a lt4 cam in my lt1? Also how hard and time consuming is it to install new valve covers? Thanks

Well if wanna do it right new timing chain new intake gasket water pump gasket timing chain gasket depending on how the lifters look might need new of them new springs pry gonna want 1.6 roller rockers so u would have 800 to 1000 bucks in it an changing valve covers should only take 10 mins take the bolts off the alternator and the valve covers easy as that and of corse a tune

Maybe the better question is: What else can be done besides a cam install to add power? Honestly...for the power gain...Id look a million other places on the car for more power before going LT4 hotcam...just me though. Its pricey for a somewhat marginal gain.
