Different alternator or grinding?

Is there a different alternator or some grinding that can be done without ruining the alternator to fit tall valve covers? I've got some turbo tubing down low so the alt relocation kits won't work. And I have perimeter bolt Brodix heads so the regular cantons won't work. I'm also not paying $350+ for some notched perimeter bolt cantons. I hate the look of the alternator on top of the motor, but I have to keep it that way because of the turbo. I had some fabricated aluminum valve covers made and had to notch out the alt section and re weld it, but now I need some new valve covers. I can get some regular cantons and re notch them for under $200, but I'm just seeing if there are any options.

I have proforms GM knock offs. They are not the tall ones but they are taller then stock.

I ground the back of the alt a tad to make it fit but it fits in stock location.

You could also get the "My Machinehead.com" accessory bracket kit that relocats the altenator to the drivers side lower for $350 - $400 from SpeedInc. Here are some pics of my setup.
