It looks like we had some similar piston issues. Yours weighed 455 and 129 grams for a total of 584. If you want to get some SRP flat tops they would probably weigh real close to what mine did and no balance would be necessary. Here's a pic of my JE flat top.



Here's the Mahle -16 cc dish that I wanted to use.



As you can see there was a big difference in piston weight. Next I put the rings and pins on them and weighed again.
First the JE/SRP. Mine weighed EXACTLY the same as yours. That's pretty cool



Next I weighed the Mahle -16 cc with pins and rings. They weighed EXACTLY the same as the JE/SRP. I didn't have to rebalance. Maybe you could be so lucky. Get a set of the SRP flat tops and I'll bet the weight is real.....real close. I don't have mine. I sold them to Bruno in Croatia. I have the part number....somewhere if you need it. I could look around.

Well horseshit....I thought we were on to something.

I've got a pretty good database of piston combos that I've used maybe I can match something up. What are your specs? I've also got lists of different weight pins from manufacturers. We may get real close. I'm just goofing off today anyway.......may as well look around.

Just called SRP and they make an upgraded pin that weighs 115 grams which will put me at 582 with the flat top. So that's 3 grams lighter than what I have now.

Is that with the rings or without? That 3 grams won't make any difference if that is going to be the total. Sounds like you may have lucked out. Many high RPM engines usually overbalance about 10% anyways and it doesn't seem to hurt them. Just be sure to keep your RPM's above 7500 or so and you'll be fine.

Yup that's perfect.....they are going to send u the hardened lightened pins same ones I run.....also that 3gram lighter is fine I run a 51% overbalance on mine helps on a stroker.....I'm 6-7grams light iirc

Well the new pistons and pins are on there way. Is it a big no no to reuse the rings even though there is less than 6K miles on them?
