Those two rockers are backing off because they dont have locks inside the poly nuts. Hopefully this will keep them from clattering and backing off again to fix his issue. But your right 93LT-1Vette, at 240,000 miles, she is getting pretty tired...hehehehe.

Take the pushrod from the #3 intake rocker and swap it with any other rocker and set lash with the motor running + 1/2 turn. see if the ticking moves with the pushrod. Visually inspect the #3 intake valve spring to ensure it's not cracked broken or weak. Visually inspect the #3 intake rocker stud to see if it is backing out if its a screw in stud or if the stud has pulled out of the head boss if press fitted. Other wise I still think is a weak or collapsed lifter. sorry brother

So guys the taping noise is coming from the valve spring... It looks fine and I've turned the spring a little... No difference. Is there an inner spring that could be broke or weak? Because that's where the noise is coming from...
