yea it sounds like a clutch noise but that doesnt explain the misfiring you were talking about.........get a screwdrive and hold the handle end on you're ear.....use the tip of the driver to touch parts of the engine and see if you can hear the noise clearly.......touch it to the intake manifold.......header tubes.......valve covers.......if you can get the car in the air try the bellhousing and so forth...........
Remove the belt and Next you got to listen to the water pump and make sure it's not the water pump bearing. If you can rule that out then I would say it's time to move on to looking internally.If the water pump bearing is going bad it could be leaking so look for coolant around where the drive conects and on top of the opti. It could be leaking coolant onto and into the opti causeing the miss.
