lt1 set ups

lt1 set ups Hay im going to be getting a lt1 with a t56 for my 69 chevelle soon and i was wondering what set up are peaple running and any sugestions of what i should do to give it more kick. The motor and trans are out of a 97 z28. Im looking at making that car in to a every day hauler but i want to hit the mid 13s the car is 3300lbs and i will be running 4.11. plz help

friend of mine has a '70 with a 468 under the hood
Basic mods (intake, long tube headers, freebies tb bypass) and that thing will go low 13 all day. make sure you got some nice tires on it though.
What kind of rear has the chevelle got?
It's only 3300 lbs? Do they come that light?

How much do you want to spend? The following assumes a combination of new & used parts: ~3-5K will get you a head/cam installed & running properly (worth anywhere between 360-425rwhp depending on how radical you want to go). ~7-12K could get you a 383 or 396 stroker with some cool parts (worth anywhere between 400-500rwhp depending on how radical you go). If you want to spend a little more (15-20K ???) you could get a 396 supercharged and easily hit 600-700+ rwhp.
