Default 1993 UMI EGR Delete Kit

I love it when companies make a kit and don't include instructions with the kits! Where are the 3 plates installed in their kit? Do I need gaskets for these plates? If so, what are the part numbers for the gaskets?

LOL! 2 go behind the intake. The other one goes on the passenger header. Use RTV no need for gasket.

Well when it's something as simple as an egr delete maybe they figure even the smallest of children can do with out instructions.

LOL,

You have no idea of my credentials so really wouldn't go there! A simple diagram for where the parts go should be included and telling you to use RTV as well!

Everything on these cars are simple! The point is that every part that a company sells should have a set of instructions included period! I have ordered 20 some parts for my new to me car and ONLY one part included a set of instructions in them! This particular one was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. Some of the companies said "they were supposed to be included" but now I've got to take my time and theirs and ask them about sequencing of installations etc and that's just a pain in the butt!

BTW, since you have a '93, you wont need the smallest oval-shaped one...

Thank you and a perfect example why instructions are needed Lethal! I'm sure you already knew that!

Modding your car isn't like assembling furniture from Ikea. You have to figure it out yourself or pay someone else to do it for you.

if you want to vent... go and buy a line lock kit... yes, once you have done one they are all basically the same. But, much like you I was quite confused at first but once you get into it, the parts basically fall into their respective places.

Your not going to use the third plate on a 93, the EGR hook up is different from the 94+ cars. If you have headers with 94+ style hooks then you will but if it's a 93 style emissions or headers with no EGR/air then you only use the ones on the back of the intake. 93 only has two smog hooks up, an air hook up by #1 and an EGR hook up back by #8 on top of the primary, not the side like 94+.

Lethal are you posting just to be a dick? Not everyone has done egr delete. And im sure a child could not do it. There hands might fit back there but they would have no clue. Stop trolling and help someone. ***

You could reuse the egr gasket if it does not peel off or rtv works great. Make sure rtv is dry before starting or you will have a vac leak

^ lol whatever you say hoss. I'm sorry but there are countless number of theads on this and it's really about as simple as it gets and yes I feel assure that even a child could do this with a little research. Sorry some of you can't take a little constructive criticism. Even if you didn't get instructions on something this simple then there is always a search button. Don't come in here complaining about how so and so didn't give you instructions. It's just delete plates I guess they figure if you can take take the junk off then you can do something as simple as turn a wrench to put the plates on.

I guess we just assumed that if you are deleting your EGR you would know where the block off plates went once the system was removed?

Also as for gaskets here is what is on our site- "There are no gasket’s included with this kit, we recommend High Temp RTV sealant for a superb seat."

Everyone who has replied has supplied great information and pictures, this should help you a lot.

Thanks,
Ryan
