did ltx crash?
I believe too many members = shitty information. I'd much rather see intelligent conversation from a few than stupid *** banter coming from 2,000 people at once.
I know Sean fell on some hard times a while back so that may explain part of it. Still they should pass the torch to someone who can keep the lights on if it's that bad.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
First, we've NEVER had a problem paying the bills. NEVER. Every time something billing related has happened, it's been related to the web host and it's billing practices. If we had so much trouble paying the bills, how did we come up with $1500 to title sponsor the LTx Shootout the past three years? If the bill didn't get paid, this would be a first, and like I mentioned before, I am doing my damndest to rectify the issue, but not having server or financial access to the site still, makes things rather difficult. So why not keep your trap shut when you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
Yes, we've had some crashes, no one will deny that. On the initial setup, it was a server issue where the SQL database was limited, so we had to change web hosts. Then we had a big crash when we did a major site upgrade. The last year there was a point when we got hacked REALLY badly (I was gone for this). I apologize if the fact that we're not owned by IB and don't have every security measure they do inconveniences you, but we do what we can. We're not a corporate site, we're not professionals, we're enthusiasts who are doing what we can. If that's summed up as neglect and poor management, then so be it, but I think most people will realize that life takes priority over a web site. Like I said, I'm back and trying to get things done.
Yes, we ARE a small site. But we LIKE it like that. Because there's none of the BS. We're a dedicated group of enthusiasts who prefers to make friends, and focus on the hobby rather than sit around talking a bunch of smack and just stirring the pot for no reason.
As I said before, I'm doing what I can to fix the site, but my hands are tied. Russ and Randall are pretty much MIA, and getting the info out of them has become difficult. But I'm trying. And once the site is back up, I personally am going to be making some changes to fix things and get things back on track there. You people who know me know I'm good for my word.
That is good news. Some of us really do like the site a bunch and only want it to do well.
To the one simpleton who feels his sites are bigger and cheaper: all I can say is that were using vbulletin and all of our data goes into the database. Our server isn't set up for huge gBs of storage as we dont use hard disk space necessarily. We use database space and for large database space you need to pay for it. We have a higher price for our server because of that. I hope you can wrap your mind around that and realize that a simple HTML site would only be a couple bucks a year.

Sorry for your loss. The haters are going to hate and I wouldn't even waste any time trying to explain anything.
