no crank sensor signal 
i have been working on a fuel injected 526cu in bbc in a 55 210 with a 2002 ls1 ecm. The motor was running and then all of a sudden it lost the crank signal. I changed the sensor with no results. I'm using hp tuners software to look at all the signals.. I replacd the 3 wires to the sensor, the connector and verified the ecm conector. Nada.... I also replaced the ecm with a 2003 ls1 ecm..... drew a blank... no dct's ..... does the theft deturrant disable the crank signal? I'm at the point.... can you say carb???? Any info will be greatly appreciated ..... thanks

What is the engine using for a reluctor? Something like an L29 in the front cover or on the back of the crank like an L18?
I have seen the L29 style flop around and loose pickup if the balancer isn't installed right or is the wrong part.
BTW, this would probably get better response in the SBC/BBC section rather than the LT1 section.

using a 24x behind the cover and in front of the timing chain. I removed the sensor to check the ring and all is good. The balancer is a tight press and is all the way because the belt is in alignment. I will ask in the other forum... thanks for the info.....
