FWIW, if I had the coin I would buy RamAir's car in a heartbeat. Definitely one of the better buys/bang for your buck out there.

I'd like to, but honestly I've always wanted 1997 Camaro SS, finally got me one and I'd love to get it going. Let me clarify a few things, I'd like 450+ to the rear wheels. Heads & cam would probably give me what I'm looking for, but honestly I have the money to build this, so why not? Also, I drive my cars. A lot. 60k miles + a year, on all my cars. This one won't be as much, but 30k miles in a few years is literally 3-6 months in my world. Live over an hour away from work. So, no go on the motor I listed, anyone have any recommendations on where to go to get a 383/396? The Vortech may be on the back burner. I've gotten a few PMs about motors, keep them coming. Want to buy this asap, really would like to go 396...

There's no way just a heads and cam package on a stock bottom end will give you 450+ rwhp...keep dreamin....you will need a forged 383-396 with a BIG cam and good heads to hit your goal of 450+ rwhp NA.

if his car is an M6 which i havent read enough of this to see its not impossible.......a good set of heads and a moderate cam should be able to come really close if not hit that........look at RamAir95's car....hes making 455rwhp through an auto with a relativly mild cam......his car would roll 475 all day with a stick shift........a well built 355 with a healthy heads and cam package with some stout compression could do it.......give me the job ill deliver ya one to make right around 450rwhp through a M6 for well under $6k

RamAir95 has a 383; not a 350/355....I don't see it happening on a typical 350/355 build.....prove me wrong!

i know his is a 383......like i said with a stick shift car and a properly designed 355 im extremely confident i can make 450 and make it durably as well........id love to prove you wrong just need somebody to want one lol

my old 355 used to run 11.4x's at 120+mph .....was a stock bottom end with 11.2:1, TFS Untouched 195cc heads, an AI 234/242 HR cam and a ported LT1 intake.......shifted at 6800........never got a real reading but with another 35+ of cfm head flow i can almost guarantee that motor wouldve made 450rwhp with a stick shift even with mild compression....

The comment about heads/cam had nothing to do with RamAirs car, or 450 HP for that matter. Just stated give me what I'm looking for, as in more power. Some of you are reading to far into it....

Your too late...already proved myself wrong ...Ai did a 355 with 480 RWHP ....looks like a far from typical setup however....I would consider a 450rwhp 355 the exception; not the norm....would be much easier to hit that goal with a stroker.

im confident a moderate compression AI 200cnc headed, decently cammed 355 will do it all day long.....

you'll be seeing a build thread this weekend of the 383 im doing for another board member.......will make well over 700 on nitrous

That said, it was with a solid roller cam....I doubt the OP wants to drive a SR cam car every day...the best Ai hydraulic cam stock shortblock setups are around 410 rwhp (at least on the Ai website)

That may be true...I'm still skeptical about this 450 rwhp HR 350 lt1 until I see some dyno sheets/timeslips to corroborate your claims

Whoever thinks you can't get 450 rw out of 350/355 ci with a HR in an M6 car is behind the times!
My 350 with AI's 200cc LT1 heads and their 228 cam puts down 425 SAE at 6400 rpm through an A4. You think picking a cam to peak 500 rpm higher and running it through a manual trans won't pick up 25 hp? Come on!

Aleks car made 500 RWHP after some tweaks. The 480 was with a big inlet restriction due to their cold air setup IIRC
