Ive been running my headers with no tune for almost 10000 miles. It runs fine. I dont want to waste money on a tune when Im about to do so many other mods. You will be fine, but will probably get a check engine light.

You'll get an SES light for the EGR and (likely) a code for the AIR, in addition to a code since the rear O2s will be deleted. Cooling fans will run as long as the SES light is on.

Most tuners sell pcms also and could mail you one with your tune already in it. If you go to the trouble of installing headers you may as well tune it to get the most HP for you money. Most tuners offer reduced price tune updates for new mods. I've got a madtuner tune and it works good for me.

+1 PCMforless also only charges $50 for every re-flash once you are a paying customer; why not get the most out of your setup for only $50 and not be pestered by annoying SES lights By not "fixing" your PCM you might not notice other codes that are actually legitimate and need attention; not to mention reduced gas mileage and performance.... JMO...

Why do you need an OBD1 pcm to swap just to delete o2s, egr and air.

They can all be turned off.....
Im running no rear o2s, no egr, no air pump, lts...... and a whole lot more on an obd2 pcm.
