Cylinder #2 Piston MISSING !!! 2 Attachment(s) All - After 196,000 miles, with the last 60,000 miles on meth and boost (starting at 11 psi, then moving up to 13 psi about 6 months ago) - I finally had some engine 'trouble' - I lost the #2 piston and wrapped the (forged) con rod around the crank. (I thought everyone would enjoy a couple views of the carnage.) UPDATE: See post #26 for pic of my 'slightly bent' connecting rod. |
sweet carnage :judge: |
i knew meth messed up the human body, but LT1s... damn! |
196k...??? you put dope on a 130k motor and it lasted that long??? |
Definitely impressive! |
Totally rad man |
good lord talk about carnage. |
Cool! :usa: |
nice!!! thats a good one lol |
From the title I thought this was going to be another misfire/opti thread... Wow, nice! |
Good stuff! So, what was it doing when it happened (WOT/idle/cold start/etc)? Guessing rod bent first and then crank swung around and pow3d the piston. |
Bahahahah |
Nice! |
that should buff out |
Dammmmnnnnnn #2 Piston got owned. https://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l...pqono1_500.gif |
and "they" say boosted engines only last 40K miles lol which meth kit were you using? |
UPDATE: Explosion = Steady State 55 MPH; I was not 'beating on it' on that particular day, but that does not mean that I've haven't in the past. Meth = Snow system; One gallon -20 WW fluid + 2 quarts of 91 Percent Rubbing Alcohol (Time for more cubes!) |
I'll bet you can find the piston in the center console. |
Since the exhaust valve is missing whats the chance you droppd that sucker causing the carnage? |
