since the pump has to come off to change the gasket, it could be the weep hole on the back of the pump. Inspect the pump after removal and then make a determination. I know I waited just a week and it killed my Opti. A 100 bucks quickly became 700.00. Just MHO.

If it is shooting a mist, I would suspect a pinhole leak in a hose or a loose hose clamp. I would inspect more carefully before doing anything drastic.

I have never seen an LT1 waterpump gasket fail.
As shbox said I would look at hoses.

+1 on the hoses, had a similar problem and just wrapped the small hole and put a clamp over it. Been fine for over a yr now
