Default 94 lt1 flywheel

I have a 94 trans am with a lt1. I bought a 400 turbo set up off of a Ls1 car. Put it in my car and found that the torque convertor dosent line up with flex plate holes. any suggestions? Do i need to buy another convertor or flex plate. If i change flex plate do i have to buy a new starter. Any help would be appreciated.

just a guess, as i have never done the swap personally, you need a new torque converter, unless someone makes a flex plate specifically for that swap. the flax plate would be way cheaper, so its worth a search. your better off asking in the tranny section IMO

Lee, Welcome to the Forum! You'll probably get more answers in the automatic trans section.

A TH400 uses a 168 tooth flexplate, and yes you will need an aftermarket starter.

Thank you for info. Called local tranny shop and convertor shop, both told me to drill new holes on flywheel. Flywheel had 3 pads that where drilled and 3 pads that where not drilled. Drilled new holes on flats and it worked perfectly. Glad i didnt have to buy another convertor...
