Default How much power do you think I'll get out of this?

How many rwhp you guys think I'll get out of a tune and a swap from 24 lb/hr injectors and an FMU to 42 lb/hr injectors? here's the modlist...

Speed pro 8.8:1 pistons, Eagle 4340 H-beam rods, Eagle 3.48" 4340 crank, Vortech S-Trim w/ 2.95" pulley (10-11 psi), Crane 214/222 .488/.509 112LSA, B&M 2400 stall, Edelbrock middies w/ ORY, Borla catback, Crane HI-6 ign, Vortech T-Rex fuel pump, 52mm TB... i think that's it, power wise. stock heads and intake. she was on a stock tune before.

I would'nt go with such big injectors. 30-35's are plenty. I have read that our stock 24's hold up 400-450 horsepower anyway. I am sure it depends on your pressure as well but the T-Rex is a good pump. As far as rwhp rise... I don't see any thing more than using the 24's.

No way 30-35s would hold up with 14-15 psi of boost coming up. The 24s barely put up with 9psi and an FMU. It's not a matter of horsepower, it's a matter of providing enough fuel to compensate for 12+ psi of boost. 42s are the right choice.

Put it this way, if I don't get any power out of a tune, I'll shoot myself in the head. Guaranteed. I'm expecting AT LEAST 20 rwhp out of this. Probably more in the range of 30-40, but I'm really not sure.

Damn if your can't hasn't had a tune you can see about 40+ hp gain. Good luck in the tuning. Put it on the dyno and let us know the gain.

That's what I'm hoping for, but the only reason I'm really doing the tune is to get her running good. She's been running pig rich and missing quite a bit... I'm hoping it'll cure the miss, because I don't want to tear **** apart looking for the cause.

Well after the tune drive it see how it feels. Keep a eye on your air/fuel gauge to see how the motor is running. I'm sure you know your car and you'll know if its running good after the tune. After the tune it should feel like a whole new car.
