Default MSD Questions

I bought a MSD 6A brand new from a club member, and I had a few questions.

1) Do you need to replace the stock plug wires to run this ignition?

2) Where is your box located? I have a Regular T/A (Non Ram Air) I think most people place the box behind the relay box. Anyone have pictures or an alternate location?

3) Roughly how long should this install take? Pretty sure my skills can handle this by myself.

Thanks,

1. NO, It would not hurt anything though.

2. We don't have a factory box. Just the opti and coil. If the box will fit there go for it. I would install it in front of the relay box but you might not have room there. I have a moroso CAI so I have more there.

3. It should'nt take too long. It depends if you have all the correct tools. I would go ahead and buy the MSD blaster-coil. It will be a good combo.

Hey thanks for the info. I am only concerned with lengthening the power supplies to the battery. The instructions say to use one size larger wire. I just need to find the best connection for this.

There is a connection right behind the battery on the wheelwell. I would use at least a 12 gauge wire for this.
