Default 95 LT1 exhaust question.

Could not find info online after researching, maybe someone here can help me out figure some things out. My brother just bought a 95 LT1 car and it seems to be a California car. I'm saying this because I noticed that the catalytic converters on this car are different then my old LT1. My question is if these cars can covert over to the single style cat. I am in Arizona so there is no need for the California set up. When searching for after market headers and cats should I search for 96-97 cars as I see that those cars are actually might be using this set up. Should everything bolt up to the manifolds and the cat back?

Search for 96-97 catbacks and leave the dual cats on. They are supposed to produce more power than the OBD single cat on most 95's.

Search for longtubes 93-97 non emissions since you have no smog regulations to follow.
Then get a nice cat-back like magnaflow

Actually, all 95 and older cars here in Arizona do require the sniffer test so cats will be needed either way. I was just wondering what set ups work for that car as far as cat backs and headers. im looking at the slp loudmouth system but dont know if I have to buy the install kit or not.
