7 qt pan no room
7 qt pan no room my engine builder comes to me yesterday an says it sure wld b nice to ha ve a 7 qt oil pan om my 383 lt1 w aje kmember and d1sc setup dnt have a whole lotta room maybe u guys know of something tried canton nothing f-body 7 qt.....thanks for ur time....kt
I have a 7qt Moroso pan on my 383 I believe the part # is 20205; not sure though as it came on the complete shortblock I bought. The pan is not listed as a LT1 compatible pan...but it is. (Will need custom y-pipe unless you already have longtubes.)

cant understand what you but...I use the gold canton 7qt pan here, no issues at all. I wouldnt say that theres more room with it vs. stock tho.
but you do get an extra 2 qt's oil and it takes up the same amount of space. I run mac headers, strano springs.

Yea, found out the hard way that stock/shorty/mid-tube header y-pipe will not fit under the pan; had to have a custom one made for $200. As you can see, there's noway to make it fit without severely affecting ground clearance:
oil pan snds like ill b looking for some long tubes and different y pipe...........hmmmm i c thers alot of 6 qts out ther that look like they wld fit i guess for all the money i have stuck in the motor whats another 500 i think ive said that abt 12 times so far w this build and shld ve just went ls1 and been done but w the help of ta kid i should have a very nice dependable fast 750 +rwhp ta soon i hope.....kt .....thanx for the help guys.
I have a New Canton 242t pan for sale. 250 shipped if you need one. I did need to cut the crank scrapper to clear my slayed mains but it wont effect anything. Not a 7qt but still a good pan, just wouldnt clear my billet oil pump
