Default Lt1 edit vs Tunercat

Well I'm wanting to take a shot at tuning my car but I'm trying to learn as I go. Which system is more user freindly I will only be dealing with my car and maybe my dads car if needed. Both are 96 Impala SS. His is a bolt on car and mine is single turbo. It's not my DD so I would like to take my time and learn it. Any suggestions are appreciated. If I missed out any other tuning programs let me know those are the only ones I have found while searching.

I use TunerCat I recently fried my PCM for no apparent reason so I contacted TunerCat and they told me to send in the PCM and the tune and they will fix it.

LT1_edit used to be VIN locked to one vehicle only. Not sure if the same, now.

Tunercat will do unlimited tunes to unlimited vehicles.

From what I read tuneecat 2 is now Jet DST. Yes lt1. Edit only does one vin and the jet will give u 4 cars. I was wondering if one gives you more accessbilty then the other?

i have both edit and tuner cat. i prefer edit but i think tuner cat would be the better route because its not locked to one vin.
