Default Installing opti- Running car?

On here I had read that when installing an opti, you can turn the car over without the water pump hooked up to make sure the opti is installed correctly. Does this sound right? I would re install the opti, put the balancer on, and turn the car over?

How long am I able to run it for to make sure everything is ok?

You can run it without a waterpump but just dont run it for more a min for it to get hot.

Wont it start leaking coolant in the opti if the water pump is missing?

I went ahead and installed my water pump before turning the car on. Its only like 6 bolts.

There's no way for coolant to move from inside the engine out, so no. Besides the water jackets are inset enough if there was a stream of coolant it would not come close to touching the opti.
