Default I need help

I just got a 1994 lt1 last week, its bored over .30 so guess 355 stock ported and polished heads, 3.73 built auto, and one size bigger than stock cam. The car drives fine for the first couple miles when i drive it but then when im at about 2000-3000 rpms it stutters and spits and seems like its running out of gas, if i stomp it it will clear up but shoots a bit of smoke out of the rear. Im not really familiar with lt1s I have no idea what it could be, ive heard maybe opti or coil pack. Im hoping it is something simple, well if you can please help me diagnose the problem.

First things first - check fuel pressure with a test gauge. Wouldn't hurt to check plugs/wires either.

I agree it sounds like a fuel issue, possibly your pump going out.

Check o2s with a scanner if you can. Mine would do something similar to that and it had a faulty drivers side O2.
