Default Always improving..Progress on the new build

After having my car apart so many times, There were a lot of things that I didn't like about it. This past winter I decided I was going to tear the under carriage apart and paint the bottom side, powdercoat all the suspension and modify the radiator support.

One thing led to the next and I decided to paint the engine bay, go 24x, lower the radiator support for the lid setup, go with a ford 9", run all new fuel and brake lines. Here is the progress i've made. Its far from done but I'm hoping in another month or two.

Bottom painted

Powder coated intake and rails

Stripped and ready for some more work

Engine bay paint prep

New quick performance 9"

Painted gunmetal

Moser 35 spline axles

Suspension put together. I rolled it outside for a bath and some garage cleaning to prepare everything for paint.

The engine is very easy to remove now. As soon as the engine bay is painted the engine will go back in.

You have paint in your fuel rail fittings!

Looks good man. Spray it

lol the powder coat is just at the edges, no where close to where the orings go. I'll clean most of it up.

I plan on spraying quite a bit this year!

Looks great! I will be doing that to my car next year. Do you know if you can get that torque arm bracket separate? I am looking for something stronger for my 9''.

I've been fighting with myself over whether or not to butcher my radiator support the last few months. Not just the usual cut-out for the LS1 lid, but something more drastic like you did. I saw pics of a "big mouth" mod in a Chris13 ram air thread and haven't been able to forget it.

Awesome work! My car will be down in the next year for undercarriage and underhood cleaning/painting, then a 12 bolt or s60, built tranny and new motor. Then new exterior paint. Can't wait to see your build after its all finished up!

Thanks, I started powder coating to do this stuff. As much as I wanted to do it made sense to buy the equipment lol. I did bolt heads, the water pump, every spindle and control arms, thermostat housing accessory brackets etc. I'll have more pictures of the work as I go. Its just starting to come back together. Individual pieces just wont do justice...The complete engine will lol

But for now here are a few more pictures of the intake!

No sense in keeping track of hours for something like this lol I mainly work on it from 9am to 8 at night every Sunday. Ive been doing that for the last 3 months with the occasional Saturday thrown in. It will be worth it in the end.
