How many RPMS?

How much PSI?

A 383 at 6000rpm roughly needs 660cfm.

25psi - 1782cfm
20psi - 1558cfm
15psi - 1333cfm
10psi - 1108cfm.

Rough calculations to get you going.

Well here do the Math.

CI x RPM x .5 x VE / 1768
So

383 x 7200 x .5 x 85% / 1768 = 662cfm

Now take the CFM and times it by the Pressure Ratio.

Pressure Ratio = PSI + 14.7 / 14.7

So 10 + 14.7 / 14.7 = 1.68

So 662 x 1.68 = 1112cfm.

Convert CFM to lbs/min

1112 * .0691 = 77lbs/min.

Looking at the compressor map. Not for 10 psi. It will not be efficient.
15 psi it won't be either its off the map.

They would work for a twin turbo setup.
