So where do i start off,

well it started with the idea of just swapping out my clutch because it was just about gone. so i decided i would do it in march. well mid febuary came along an i had gotten rear ended by some ***** who decided to run...well i got 600 from the insurance company to fix it so i took it into my own hands instead of a shop and pocket some cash. well march came along and i was still driving without a bumper with my car looking ugly so i would do the bumper while i did my clutch. while the tanny was out i figured i'd just rebuild it because of the mileage (157k) and it poped reverse (t56). i also had new synchros and bearing replaced while i was at it. so i looked at some things i could do with the tranny being out.

I replaced/fixed the following:
spark plugs
rear main seal
oil pan gasket
exhaust manifold gaskets
clutch (ram clutch)
u-joints
resurfaced the fly wheel
the bumper
and i added a slp skip shift eliminator

Being in high school and working it took me about 5 weeks to do all of this but most of it was waiting on the trans to be rebuilt. but i enjoyed the learning experiance and had some fun getting her back to road worthy. She runs amazingly now and almost feels like a new car so im excited to be done with it but here are the pics!

Bumper after wreck:

Working on the new bumper:

Pulling the trans (dirty aint it?):

New parts!:

8 plugs 2.5 hours later:

After one of the exhaust manifold gaskets:

Got the trans back:

Bumper on:

And how she looks now:

Thank you, i do all the work on my car i couldnt imagine someones else doing it lol. umm mod wise depending on what direction i go ill either

rebuild the lt1 in it now to a 355 with a nice set of trick flow or afr heads mild cam and all the other bells and whistles from the cam up wanting to make 400 rwhp

or

go to a 5.3 or 6.0 ls series because ive seen some really interesting articles on those engines and all the potential you have with them plus they are newer and seems to be as if the ls it the way to go but i'm not sure yet.

i just have a exhaust cai tb bypass right now so headers and a tune would be nice maybe .410 or .411's later.
I just want a nice relaible DD with enough horse to compete with the new stuff.
