issues or am i paranoid
another issue is when my car is in gear and im driving it sounds like theres some type of high speed clacking of some sort. its very hard to explain...any hints
i know i do need a main shaft, the part that 5th-6th gear are on because at high speeds the car has a vicious shake. my mechanic said that could be a combination of a bad trans mount and the misfire. im just the type to get a second opinion and do his research.
and is a 12bolt or s60 really needed for a car producing 600+ hp on the street, or will the stock rear and drive-shaft break from the torque.
i would like the get my car running right and be strong in the long run. pretty much want a mid 10 low 11 second street car. it will primarily be out only on good days for short drives maybe medium ones as well. by the way its a 355 lt1 engine.
i tried searching these things but i couldnt find any good sources or answers.
i know i just dropped a lot of info but i'd appreciate the help guys.

Your post is kinda all over the place; studders, clacking, misfires, bad trans mounts, transmission needs rebuilt and 600+ hp capable rear ends?
What sort of setup do you have (more specific than "355")?
Sounds like you need to get this car up to decent running condition with a full tune up (plugs, wires, cap and rotor), transmission rebuild, and new poly trans mount before you even think about turning this pile into a 10 sec car...Yes, you will CERTAINLY need a new rear end with 600+ HP lol (how are you going about this 600 hp
