Default LS MAF on LT1?

Wile looking for an F body MAF to upgrade my car with. I stumbled upon an all plastic MAF. RockAuto.com said that it would fit a 1995 Chevy Camaro 5.7l. So I ordered one via my supplier at work. Turns out the MAF as well as the adapter harness it comes with will not fit my LT1. (First time rockauto has let me down. )

ACDelco PN: 213-4657

After some research it seems that this is an LS1 MAF...

Anyway, anyone have any idea if this part will work for an LT1? I have no problem changing the connector on the engine harness. I just don't want to run into any tuning problems if this one is calibrated differently.

I could return it but its a lengthy/PIA process with the distributor I used. As well as a restocking fee. :/. Only reason I went with them is because they are the cheapest out of anywhere...

I prefer the style of this MAF. No awkward square in the middle.

If its a no go I'll go with a stock style MAF. Just hoping it is calibrated the same.

Thanks for the reply's so far. Keep em coming!!

LS1 and LT1 MAF are the same. 99+ Trucks and Vettes got the one with the integrated IAT sensor and are plastic housings.

Nothing. 213-4657 is what AC-Delco lists for 94-2002. They merged the part numbers for LT1 and LS1 MAFs some time ago. It should work. So, RockAuto actually sent the correct one according to the catalog.

Ls1 maf's dont have the same readings as the LT1 mafs... regardless of what ACdelco did to the part numbers.

Flame stated simply that the LS1 and LT1 mafs are the same, and that simply isnt true... close, maybe but???

So, what are you supposed to do when the OEM supplier lists the same number for both? Apparently, they think they work.

Just buy a new connector and use it anyway...

not really a big problem but a little bit of a pain using different connectors..

The OP said something about it coming with an adapter (but would not fit for some reason, IDK).

The housing is the same size and the sensor is calibrated to the housing so how would it not read the same? Even the GM part number is the same

I used a Ls1 MAF on my 94 TA when I needed one. Worked just fine for me. Plugged right in and didn't throw any codes.

I was under the understanding that the LS1 MAF was the same and that the LS6 got a different MAF.

When I ordered a new maf, it was the ls style in a plastic housing and came with a jumper harness that plugged right into my stock lt1 connector. Bryan Herter even commented on it when dyno tuning my car. He said they were better than the lt1 style. Don't remember why.

OP something must be fudged up.

98-02 LS1 & 94-97 LT1 = GM p/n 19207203

I work in a GM dealer parts dept and both MAFs utilize the same p/n for replacement. If I'm wrong, then so is GM.
