Your quest to "put something between" might as well be called "I want to burn my car to the ground".

Tweak the exhaust, add hangers to keep it away or maybe redo the engine mounts if they are soft and allowing too much movement.

Make the needed adjustments so that there is adequate clearance between you pipes and the chassis.

They sell universal exhaust hangers at pretty much any parts store, anywhere.

I wouldn't tell anyone that you wedged a piece of foam between your exhaust pipe and the frame of your car either..

If you are wanting to use a material you can use header wrap w/out risking setting your car on fire. Thing is it's expensive and comes in roles, so to buy a role and only use a tiny wad of it makes no sense, unless you have some laying around.

Yea you used the foam to find the problem. Got it. But then you left it there with hopes that it'd be a permanent solution until it melted, which is why I lol'd.

You were using it ONLY to find the problem.. I was born yesterday, of course I believe you.

Go to Autozone and buy a universal hanger, stop trying to wedge things where they don't belong-- you're killing me, Smalls.

Iirc a lot pf people use rubber coupling, like for turbo kits. it withstands the heat and solves the problem.

My car had it on there for 5 years and worked fine.. Kooks ory is bad about it.

Wether it was a mistake or not, we all make mistakes, we learn from them and move on. Now...if u dont have a welder to get a universal mount or the spring idea, which i like go to a exhaust shop...over and done!!

A 3.5" clamp and some heater hose works fine as long as you're not trying to wrap the primaries with it. I did this with my dual exhaust where it contacted the floor cross member until I switched to an oval pipe.
