what is all of this stuff I got my dash ripped apart looking into my cluster and under the steering column there is a bunch of relays and fuses all tapped I.to a bunch of stuff. A toggle switch and a black box that says vallet on it anyone have an idea???
Vallet is an alarm feature, as for the box with relays and fuses I'd say at some point the car had an aftermarket alarm installed. No factory relay's or fuses will be taped to other wires in a bundle. I wouldn't think an alarm would have any affect on the trans shifting but electrical issues can do some unpredictable stuff. If your uncomfortable taking it out you may take it to a car stero/ alarm shop and see how much they'll charge to remove it.
