Default anything else i can try??

Car won't shift at wot. Changed the tps , the vss, new fluid and filter in the trans. Going to the junkyard tomorrow after work and pulling out a pcm and gauge cluster . Is there anything else i can try before doing a trans swap??

Scanned the PCM for codes? Any other details?

Default

Only codes that came back on the pcm was the mass air flow sensor. And a o2 sensor replaced the sensor. The mas was because I unplugged it to see if that was the problem

Currently throwing no codes from the pcm all checks out . I started by taking it to the trans shop and they said it was a computer problem and that the trans was fine. It's why I'm going thru all of these little prices before i go for a trans swap as a last effort lol

Is the car stock?

It does shift at part throttle right?
Is this a 1-2 shift thing or 3-4?
If the pcm can command it to shift and it does shift at part throttle it seems unlikely to me that the pcm would fail only at WOT.

Tranny shops are VERY VERY quick to blindly blame pcms.

Does it shift if you let out of it a little?

You have told us nothing about the car, and next to nothing about the problem.

probably 11 years ago I had a similar problem when my car was near stock and the cause was a POS ignition "upgrade" that in the end helped nothing and hurt my wallet not only by being a waste of money but by causing me to throw parts at the car like you are now.

Yes at part throttle it will shift fine its just at wot . It will shift if I let off just a hair. It's a bone stock 94z 28. It won't shift from 1-2 or from 2-3 at the track. It shifted once at about 90% throttle I then mashed it and it slipped from 2-3 aswell I hit the rev limiter . If i try to manually shift it it also slips at wot. It's an a4 aslo sorry for the lack of Info I'm on my phone

One other thing I noticed is that if it hasn't been running long it will work fine sometimes. The track is 45 mins away but after I got it back from the diagnostic shop it purred like a kitten . I got on it 3 times that day getting onto the highway about 5 mins from my house , but after driving it for a bit it will slip at wot

Just shifted fine again after sitting for a couple hrs . Maybe a trans cooler would help???

If it is a mechanical problem (which sounds like it) a trans cooler won't really help.

i think im going ot try and replace the 1-2 accumulator today and see if that helps any. from what i gather its one of the most probable causes. is it going to be hard to do it? can i just go up to say like autozone and pick up one and do it myself?? it looks to be just 3 bolts right on the side of it. but if i do that i might as well put a shift kit in it from what im reading, is that hard to do? and what are all of the things i would need to change it all? ive never really dug into a transmission before i dont wanna mess it all up

If dropping the pan I would address the EPC screen as well. It is known to plug up and starve the tranny for fluid pressure.

Based on your experience level though I would discourage you from trying a full shift kit install, if you want to buy one Transgo HD2 is the standard.
